How it works

1

Tell Kat your concern

When you book, briefly describe the concern and where you are up to. Kat reviews it within 1 business day to check it suits a focused consult.

2

30 minutes with Kat by telehealth

Kat asks the background questions she needs, clarifies what matters, and gives practical advice within the agreed scope.

3

Your brief written summary

Within 2 business days you receive a short written record of the advice discussed and the next steps you agreed.

Is a focused consult right for you?

It includes

  • One agreed, focused nutrition concern, subject to suitability
  • Relevant background questions and clarification during the appointment
  • Advice appropriate to that concern and the assessment undertaken
  • A brief written summary of the advice discussed and agreed next steps

An initial consultation is usually more appropriate when

  • Several concerns need to be understood together
  • A comprehensive dietary and health history assessment is needed
  • Detailed pathology interpretation is required
  • You need comprehensive meal or supplement planning
  • You need ongoing condition management or coordinated reviews

A single question can still need a full assessment. For example, "What should I eat during IVF?" usually depends on your history, results and treatment plan. Choose an initial consultation when you want to look at the whole picture, connect several concerns and build a coordinated nutrition plan. Not sure which suits you? Book a free call and Kat will help you choose.

About the written summary

It records the advice and next steps discussed. It is not a comprehensive assessment, a full meal plan or an ongoing support package. It is sent by email within 2 business days of your appointment.

Questions

What does the $129 cover?

30 minutes with Kat by telehealth for one agreed concern, including the background questions she needs, practical advice within that scope, and a brief written summary within 2 business days. It is the total fee; dietetic services are GST-free.

Is it limited to one question?

No. It is limited to one focused concern, not one sentence. Kat will ask follow-up questions and you can ask for clarification during the appointment. If several concerns need looking at together, an initial consultation is usually the better fit.

What if my concern needs a broader assessment?

Kat reviews your concern within 1 business day of booking. If it needs more than a focused 30 minutes, she will move you to an initial consultation instead and credit your $129 towards it, so you only pay the difference. If you would rather not go ahead with an initial consultation, you get a full refund. If something more complex comes up during the appointment, Kat will decide how to proceed safely and explain your options.

Can I claim this on Medicare or private health?

It is private-pay only, so no GP referral is needed and it does not use one of your GP Chronic Condition Management Plan visits. Medicare rebates apply to standard consultations.

If I book more care later, is the fee credited?

If you book an initial consultation or The Program within 30 days of your One-Question Consult, its fee is credited towards that booking. One credit per client, not transferable, not combined with a Medicare rebate.

What if I need to cancel?

Reschedule or cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund. Inside 24 hours the fee is retained.

How is it different from the free 15-minute call?

On the free call Kat listens to what is going on, explains how she can help and suggests the best next step. The One-Question Consult is a paid appointment where she gives you advice on your agreed concern, with a written summary.
